Hey guys, I was just curious to see if any of you clean channel lovers out there know of any good pedals that will give you a nice "boost" while still keeping the cleanness to your sound. Not a volume pedal either..

Any suggestions?

I always add a touch of gain when boosting, so the pedals I use will not be of interest
this however, promises what you are after:

here is the blurb:
The Suhr Koko Boost is the ultimate boost pedal in that not only does it provide an extremely transparent clean boost that does not color the guitar's tone whatsoever, but also a selectable midrange boost that works in conjunction with the clean boost to provide you with maximum versatility. Whether you need a little clean boost of your clean sound (up to 20 decibels) or a midrange boost dialed in to overdrive your tube amp for solos that cut through the mix, the Koko Boost is a musical tool that will enhance the sound and functionality of your entire rig with minimum fuss.

Personally, I really love the Danelectro Transparent Overdrive V2. Big volume boost on tap that just sounds so darn good (and it's a pretty cool overdrive too if required).

Of course it will only give you a clean volume boost until your signal reaches a level that the first stage of the amp just can't do clean any more. Your preamp has run out of 'clean headroom'. Some hot humbuckers will do that all on their own. Once you reach that point, your only remedy is reducing the volume going into the amp but pushing the master volume. If you have a non-master volume amp, you are SOL, unfortunately.

I suppose it all depends how "clean" you really want it to be. Most things impart their own sheen on the sound.

RC Booster is nice, though it adds something. Ditto the "Timmy" pedal (though that is great). A good EQ pedal can do a great job as well, I often use a modded Boss GE-7. These days the Timmy is my fave though.

Tonefreak pedals make a great pedal called the "NakedOD". Also an excellent clean boost.

I use a Diamond Compressor (does a great, totally transparent boost), or if I need compression and the boost together I use the "boost" switch on a Fulltone GT500 which is almost transparent.

FYI - The Diamond Compressor works really well with the EBMM piezo system as well. Makes a real nice clean instantaneous volume boost for piezo lead parts. I have two loops on my pedal board (one mag / one piezo), and the Strobostomp, Diamond and EB Volume Pedal are the only ones that are in both loops.

I bought a MBB Gadget Kit and had a pro put it together for me.
Works great as a clean boost. You can also add some gain... but not much. PM if you want to try it. I'll ship it to you.

+1 for the Xotic RC Booster. Very nice clean booster and also light crunchy if you like. Very direct, no compression. What you put in, you´ll get out. Very useful because of the possibility of bass and treble knobs.

Flying Dragon from Lizard Leg Effects. Try it. Your sound, just more :D:cool:

Have also used RC, AC and BB from Xotic. Kept the BB for the more gain-ier type sounds.

Happy shoppin'. There's lotsa cool stompers out there, eh

Well, you named it. The Cleanness by Dr. Scientist. It is an amazing pedal.

Dr Scientist Sounds Guitar Effects - Pedals

Don't trust the guy's review on youtube. He has a terrible tone.
