Great stuff _ I guess I'll have to look for some more of mine and post them _ I have a classic one somewhere playing my SG but dang if I can find it !!!

This could warrant the start of a new thread to get people posting old photos?

Maybe call it:
Vintage Ball Players?
Old guys with an attitude?
When Gibson still made good guitars?

Lay it on us, Spud!

Going back to topic (as the only old pictures I have are too incriminating)

I like my clean sound to be really clean, something like Steve Rothery (Marrillion) or some of David Gilmours clean stuff.

I'm using a Marshall JTM (?) 30 at the moment, which is ok but still not exactly what I'm after. I'm going to try a HiWatt when I get some pennies spare.

To me there are so many variations of "clean" from PA system clean or Power amp only clean, to clean sounds with various pre-amp and digital processing.

I like three "clean" sounds with my Petrucci model guitar:

"Jazz Chorus" clean with the guitar in the middle position (1 coil from each humbucker mixed together) and the piezo switch in the middle position (piezo and HB pickups mixed). Shimmery and etherial.

Jazz Chorus Clean piezo only.

"F*nder" tube clean - warm but with a little bite - single coil sound only.

But for a really clean sound - I play acoustic :)

Oh - and the pictures thing: My ex wife just gave me some pictures of me from 1989/1990 with hair to my waist, teased - wearing the typical late 1980's metal band garb: leather, spandex and ripped denim :D

I'll let you imagine - I won't post them here.

Almost forgot the black eyeliner.
