What is the cleanest sounding EBMM. Right now I have a JP6 and a silhouette HSH which both sound great clean. Between the AL, Axis, and Luke which has the best clean sound?

don't own a AL .....................yet :D

BUT

Silo SSS is fantastic clean sound
Luke is also great on position 1 & 2 for clean sound
And Axis SS clean sound position 2 & 4 is probably very similar to the Silo one

re:

Yeah I just started playing EBMM guitars after playing my str@t for last couple years. Bought a JP6 now I will never look back. Hands down these are the best guitars. Fit and finish second to none, quality materials and playbility and also made in the US. I'm addicted to music man and hopefully in the summer I will have enough to order an AL.

Well, it depends what kind of clean you're looking for.

Luke absolutely kills on those single coils, but it's active. It sounds "processed" to me, but still warm and fantastic. More "modern" sounding than the others.

AL sounds more organic. It's just amazing. Silo Spec is also great on single coil sounds, but a bit different from the AL.

ASS has got the great combination of those great in-between tones with the split coils, but it's also got those great Axis tones when you use the humbuckers.

i just got back from a studio date, i took my Luke, Albert, and rosewood ASS. I had a few small bluesy solos to do, i used my Albert first up, but i did a few alternate takes using the Luke, it is QUIET i tell you! Just great to record with, and my Albert is an older one so it doesnt have the silent circuit, the Luke was the perfect guitar for those tracks.

Well my JP6 sounds decent for cleans, but of course it's no AL or Luke...I got rid of all my single coil equipped guitars so as i'm thinking of my next guitar i'm narrowing out my choices...Need something with single coils for the strat sounds....leaning toward the AL and the Luke.
