Cleaning a Maple Board with Serious Finger Funk

There's a pretty nice used SR5 for sale locally that's in good shape other than some heavy finger funk on the maple fretboard. Is there anyway to get that off? I have had this issue one another bass (non-EBMM) that had absolutely no finish on the fingerboard, so that was as easy as taking 0000 steel wool and sanding it down. I'm pretty sure EB puts some sort of sealer or finish on their fretboards though, which would make steel wool a bad idea.

wonder wipes do nothing...just forget about it.

W. wipes are for after-cleaning treatment, to get some oils and moisture into the wood!

First You need to do is a chemical treatment!
