I just got a used sterling, with an unfinished neck. Back of the neck, and especially the G-side edge of the fingerboard have some dirt buildup from the previous owner on it. Is there a relatively easy way to spiffy this up a bit?

and I have to tell everyone this, I got this baby in like new condition for 200 bucks.

yeah, he had these wood peices carved into his initials, but I took 'em off and put some filler in the holes. It looks good as new.

well, I can't get pics with the initials on it, as I've already thrown them away, I left his little custom thumbrest on there, as I can use it sorta. Pics should be up tomorrow, or maybe later today if I have time. Mind you, they will be rather crappy pics.
