Just mailed this one off to Fresno, but that's a clear pickguard with cartoonish lobsters under it:

Hmmm, username is "fresnorich"...... interesting. I sold that bass to someone named "Rich" in a town called "Fresno".....coincidence?

Hey Rich! That is indeed your bass, and it will arrive with the lobsters installed. Never fear, the black pickguard is wrapped up nicely inside the case.

But you can see that with scissors and funky magazines, you can have fun and change the look every week if you feel like it.

Deliver date: tomorrow!

(rubbing hands in anticipation) I can't wait! I feel like it's Christmas Eve and I'm 5 years old again. I don't think I'll sleep well tonight.

By the way, anyone know where I can pick up a few pickguard screws?

I lost a few once - I just took one of the remaining screws and headed over to the hardware store - found some that were identical.

Yep, I got mine from WD Music supply (?). I really dig it, baby.

As I suggested in the past, just rig up some awesome LEDs under there and you're set!

The only bad thing about a clear pickguard on a StingRay 5 is that you'll be able to see the guts, because they are under the pickguard, unlike the Sterling where they are on the back. Hope that wont bother you. Heres a link. Youll need to scroll down, theres a sunburst StingRay 5 with a clear pickguard about 6 or 7 basses down.

Yeah, I saw that before, thats the problem. But, how if I cover with black tape?
