Okay, Simon says, everybody move away from your computer, pick up the Music Man bass you currently own but will rarely play once you get your hands on one of the new models, and go practice for a few hours while waiting for the pics to be posted.

Going now to pick up the Bongo HH.

I just got home and the first thing I did was played some stuff on my HH Bongo (Hey that sounds like a cool name for a boat! ;) ).

the bongo and sterling are different-
While I agree with you about the bongo ----- I'm still glad I have a sterling. (it's my main fretless)

Now you have to expand on that for us dummies. Because of the neck? Because of the pickup? Because of the wood? Because of the style of body? Because of the compensated nut? Because of the strings Or just because?

How bout writing a Cliff's advice for EBMM lover's for dummies book?

I would pay 100 dollars for that book in paper back. As long as it didn't have tab.

It's a great question that really has at least two answers.
First, I love the way it feels and I love the way it sounds.
Those are very basic requirements that we all need.
Second, the design, the feel of the neck, the tapering on the body (right arm), good balance, 24 frets, the wood, the pickups, pickup placement, 4 way preamp (stacked -sweet!), pan knob, master volumn knob, sunken knobs, 18 volt, plays in tune, records great!!, can adapt to any cituation live---amp and or PA, has been a trouper on the road--never a failure, and the creative energy and love that goes into all the instruments.
I use EB strings--on the bongo I use-- 45, 65, 85, 105 or 100 and 130

That's off the top of my head------ I'm sure they are other things ;)

So are those new Sterlings going to have that same creamy-smooth neck that I am still giggling about when I play after months?? Me hopes!! :D

A black cherryburst beaut sounds awfully delish right about now!! :p
