http://www.soundclick.com/bands/6/m...iaritimusic.htm

click on slither..just my EBMM axis through my line 6..mic'ed up with an sm58 (all we have..not even the right kinda mic..can't wait to get a 57 on there) right into the board..

I'm doin' the rythm, the volume swells...and all things palm muted..the other guitar player did the lead..cause he did it with his old band and it was comfy for him..

sound like a modeling amp to anyone? =)

Sorry. "Interesting" was not meant as a slam. I posted a thread a few days ago asking for sound samples of tones from the Axis. It's interesting to get so many different tones and styles.

I am listening to it again and you really do have a brown sound.
I've never rated line6 gear but this make's me wonder if it's all that bad.
I really like the tone your getting
That solo was a bit low in the mix though.

it kinda shocked me too actually..when we listened back to it in the sound room I was like 'woah, now THAT's what I'm talkin' about'..lol..the vetta really does open up once you crank it a little bit...really pushes some air...I think what always killed me before was the cabinet models..I turned them off and this is the sound I came up with...I'm going to start tweaking even more amp modles without cabinet sims to see what I come up with..

alotta people think the line 6 stuff sounds 'synthetic'...I think this clip is showing alotta the nay sayers another side of the non tube amp they didn't really see (or hear, as the case may be) before..

there's alotta other guys on a line 6 forum getting even better live tones than the one I posted for this clip...of course, they're going stereo into the mixer and whatnot...I'm just goin' with the one mic...but still...the sounds are there..just gotta find them...

I saw a band on friday after practice..the guitar player was using some pretty old line six stuff...dunno which amp it was..but it sounded great...really organic..

thanks again, dude!
