Cloudy tuning keys

I'm sure this has come up on the forum numerous times in the past. What works as a remedy for "cloudy" tuning keys? Someone once suggested lemon juice, but that did nothing.

Maybe give a light strength silverware polish a try?

+1 chrome polish. the stuff that they used for thier car rims (just a little goes a long way)

Yes, use a bit of chrome polish and they clean right up. Use SPARINGLY though, like has been said, a little goes a long way.

Simichrome has worked well for me in the past. Don't get any on the wood...

someone told me that Brasso works great. I have not used it for my tuners, but it works good on my brass....(work stuff)

I've always used Flitz polish on chrome - a small "toothpaste tube" lasts for a loooong time and does a great job. My 'ol SR is about ready for that treatment again!

"Mothers" chrome polish....very small amount - it goes a long way. Use a micro-fiber cloth or something 100% cotton (in other words very soft).
