Question Coated strings on Musicman basses with piezo saddles?

Hi guys, ...I'm just about to do setup on my friend's Bongo 5 HSp and he want to put non-EB Coated brand of strings on it.

Q: ---could plastic coated layer on a string affect to way how string would vibrate in a piezo saddle?

Should I expect problems with piezo saddles preamp fine tunning?

I doubt it would make much difference, any more than it would affect the sound on an instrument with an under-saddle piezo. In fact, think of a standard acoustic guitar; string - plastic saddle 8mm thick - piezo element. A few microns of coating on a string won't make a big difference.
