Cobalt + 25th sound sample

Recorded on my 25th using neck and middle pickups. EQ is flat, and I am going directly into GarageBand with no Amp simulation or EQ.

These strings simply sound awesome without any EQ tweeking!

Please ignore the sloppy playing and just concentrate on the tone.

Nice!! I wouldn't have pegged that as neck & middle together though. Very tight and crisp sound.

The cobalt strings sound amazing. I have them on my Reflex now and they are perfect when being run dry with no EQ, even in passive. I'm hoping EB will release a 6 string bass Cobalt set later this summer to go on my Bongo 6 that is coming. these strings really are worth the investment!

And the recording really sounds great! Great sample of the strings and the HSS config!

Thanks, yea the Cobolts make the neck and middle very usable. I am starting to use it a lot more now. Its amazing what these strings do for the reflex.

I just put a set of Cobalts 55-105 on my 25th 4HH. Very nice tones coming out. It sure sounds like a bit of an upgrade to my ears. Now what bass is going to get the other set of Cobalts that I bought? Bongo? Sterling? Vintage Ray?
