Schecter Diamond P 5? I'm worried the G won;t be long enough to reach the G string tuner. Maybe if I ran that string through the bridge instead of through the body?

The strings are 48" long, so you might have just enough length there if crimped carefully. The other consideration is where the taper is located on the other strings. If the strings are strung through the body with that scale length, it probably won't fit; the taper will end up somewhere below the nut. For instance, the taper on cobalt strings narrowly makes it past the nut on a stingray with a string through body bridge which is only a 34" scale. My suggestion for this bass would be to use our nickel wound super long scale bass strings. We have a 5 string set.

There isn't anything on the books for upcoming extra long scale strings, but I suppose there's always the possibility of them being added down the road.
