just threw on a pair of slinky cobalts. They feel little different but sound really really good I think I like them. snappier and brighter.

day 2 with the Cobalts. They definitely have higher output and really have a really nice feel to them. they seem to have a little bit more finger drag on the lower strings but the sound that comes out of these is really really nice.definitely more punch and snap to them.

I tried some, but couldn't get used to their feel on my fingers. They had a higher output indeed, but too bright.
I say they are very good strings just not for everybody.

Just purchased a set of Cobalts, broke the G and the D string bringing them up to tension, 30 year veteran, Never had this kind of problem. Been using EB's for decades. Has there been any problems reported with these strings. I replaced the G string and D string with EB Slinky's and those were brought up to tension without a problem. Don't know what to think. Disappointed for the extra money these cost. They sound great on my 5 string, Maybe I got a defective set?

I would say so. If you contact EBMM customer service, they can help you out- I'll sure they'll want to know about it.
