Cobalts are on their way!

I just got a shipping notice from Music123 that my Cobalt strings are on their way. I can't wait to string them on my Big Al.

Just to update another site, I bought two pairs from musiciansfriend.com and they shipped the first set that I ordered today, so it looks they are sending their first wave out now.
All I have to is wait for the second pair I ordered to get shipped, hopefully soon. I feel like I am waiting for a new bass.

I just strung up the Big Al and I have to say that appears that EB accomplished what they claim. There is noticeably more clarity and output to these strings. Even acoustically they sound louder. For now I'll reserve my final judgement until I get to try the Big Al with the band.

I seriously can't imagine my Bongo 5H having even more output and clarity!! Insane!!

I tried ordering them from Musicians Friend but they aren't able to ship them to Canada.
I put in an order for two sets each of Bass and Guitar Cobalts at Long & McQuade - they don't have them in their computer yet but hopefully their buyer can get them. I'm looking forward to this.

Every time I pick the Big Al up, I'm liking the Cobalts more and more. These strings speak incredibly well and I swear there's a bit of added growl in there. Even more surprising is how huge these strings sound.
