I have a '00 SR4 fretless with some nickel roundwounds on it (I think I lifted them off my fretted SR4 or SR5). It's set up to "Mwah" moderately, but I went to the NAMM show this weekend and played an SR4 fretless w/piezos and the new EB Cobalt strings on it. Dang, it was MWAAAAAAHHH City!
Any fretless players notice more MWAH using the Cobalts, which seem to emphasize output and midrange? Or was that mainly because I played on a SR fretless with piezos?
