... is like dynamite on TNT, wrapped in nitroglycerine-soaked C4 drizzled with thermite, knowwhatimean?
Ok, here's the story:
I got myself a set of Cobalt bass strings yesterday, and immediately put them on my Bongo. I'll try to stear clear of the cliches, even if it's hard ... man, when slapping I'm afraid I'll disturb the neighbors, even when I'm not plugged in. Those trings put out a bunch of spanking sparkling high end.
Haven't tried to plug it in yet (haven't felt the need), so I can't say much about the low end. But they sure seem like a fine set of strings. Tempted to go for a 5 string set for my SR5.
Do Cobalt flats exist yet?
Edit to add: Oh and BTW: Unlike what I've read in some forum threads about Cobalts for guitar, the bass strings are fully compatible with a D-tuner. I hardly had to adjust it, even.
