Hi,
I want to change the wiring on my Sterling JP70 to make the humbuckers split-able with a tone push pull pot.
The way I'd want to have them split is to have both HBs split to the coil closer to the neck. Would that make sense? Or would I have to either split to inner or outer coils?
The stock PUs are 4-coductor and two wires (black and white) on both HBs are wrapped together, I think white is north finish and black is south finish.
Are the two wires that are wrapped together the only ones I need to manipulate for the coil tap or would I have to change any of the connections to the 3-way switch (like swap a blue to a red for example)?
Thanks,
Lars
