Many of you long timers will remember this.

I was taken back by a recent thread started by my local bud Andrew (Dr. Stankface).

The thread showcased a StingRay 5 that was on eBay. A StingRay 5 that made me a little sad, and a little angry.

It was a blue dawn StingRay5, much like the one that was stolen from me this time last year. I looked it over good (the eBay speciman), and its not the one. It did bring back some crappy feelings, but I have a very amazing Stingray 5 that I love. im thankful for that.

So really, I just wanted to pay a little respect to that bass, and the lessons learned from that situation.

Thumbs. Who cares? Sometimes my technique sucks and other times it only sucks less.

Either way, I get to open my mouth really wide and play silly things.

(Sorry about the non-EBMM bass. It's gone. I couldn't stand the heat.)

I feel your pain..... I too have suffered from the cursed " Bass-been-stolen" syndrome. It ain't ever pretty. I can understand why cowboys would hang horse thieves. You just don't mess with a man's steed......

I have to come clean here...It took me over an hour to find that thumb pic of Dave LaRue...the guy has what appears to be very good left hand technique.

He still did not fold it over the neck.

Travis you know I feel for you on your loss. Life goes on and so have you.

Record your serial numbers fellow EB owners. They do tell the world whom it belongs to.

Play any way you want as long as it doesn't hurt you and you sound good.
