Sorry if this has already been answered, but will Cobalt strings have enough length to fit the string-trhough-body StingRay Classic and other similar basses? I would like to try a set on my Classic, but I'm hesitant to do so unless I know there is enough length for the string to make it past the nut.

id give customer service a call to verify string length, but if ernie ball does what they usually do it should be plenty length to do it :)

Northray - these do fit - I played a Classic Ray with them at the London Bass Guitar show. I can also confirm they sound great on a Classic - so much so that just as soon as they're available here I'll be stringing my Classic Ray with them.

The 5 string ones I put on my Bongo appeared to be standard length (you know the sort of thing - G string would fit 5 in line tuners etc!!)

They work. My Cobalts came in the mail yesterday, strung em on my Classic, and they play wonderfully. I love the clarity and bright tone you get out of these strings.
