YES! - these off topic things are hacking me off, I don't come here to learn about smoking, I don't come here to find out who's getting what rammed where....

if you're poorly zomby goodvibes and all the best, good vibes and I hope it all works out.... but I come to 'ball out' and drool over stuff I can't afford, if I overshare with you it's becuause I have concerns that I won't be able to buy balls as a result, but I'm here becuase I'm a an Ernie Ball Musicman nut - not becuase of the varied chat.

Don't get me wrong I love you guys, in a non lets take a shower type way, even Azzael has his moments now ;) - but come here to talk bally things - all this other stuff is just mince?

Sorry Zomby, this isn't entirely aimed at you - this is just a rant at all the off-topic stuff lately doing my head in !

and in my semi silent protest.... Here's the only Operating table I want to hear about !!!!!!!

Don't worry Smelly,no offense taken, I really posted that in the first place as a sarcastic comment about all the off topic threads you mentioned.
I am really surprised (and even scratch my head) at the way it went!
I guess it served a purpose in the end...
Happy colonoscopy everyone!

I don't see the big deal in the thread. The man has some legitimate concerns and feels that there is enough mutual respect among us knuckleheads to ask such a question. I wouldn't want every other thread to be completely off topic either, but one here or there ain't so bad.

Hope the test results come out well for you.

I might have to undergo colonoscopy and would like people who went through it to share their "experience".
Anybody???

Yeah, not too bad......little uncomfortable because they blow air into you while they are doing it, and you will fart a good bid once you get home, but overall nothing to lose sleep over.

I actually had a colonoscopy little less than a month ago. Had to drink several quarts of some powder that tasted awful. Then after than I had to drink a bottle of Magnesium Citrate. This stuff tastes like Sprite with 2x the amount of lemon flavoring and more sugar. I says results usually happen in 30 minutes to 6 hours. It worked for me in actually about 10 hours. Then it didnt stop for 2 days. I actually lost like 5 pounds!

Worst part is Ive had 2 of these before and woke up both times and was not enjoying it at all. It was quite painful. So I told the Doc and the nurses to make sure Im OUT COLD. They said that they would up the dose. Well I still woke up during it. Not cool.

+1

Now I'm not talking about this thread specifically... And I must be getting pretty soft ...
But I like that someone can share something close to home every now and then.
Makes this place feel like mates and extended family!
Why else would we trust people we've never actually met, people on the other side of the globe with forum trades/sales etc etc
Personally, I wouldn't want it any other way.

Haha anyway.. End mini-hijack.
PS. Between Colin-Oscopy and that pic of the snickers haha work has not been too productive. :D

Not up to me to decide what goes & what doesn't on here......but thought I's share my favourite OT posting

I used to be on the EBay forum about 5 years ago when I did lots of buying & selling. One Sunday afternoon a woman came on to ask advice.....her husband was sweating heavily and complaining of sharp pains in his chest. Should she be concerned? Any advice as to what it might be? What should she do?

No idea whether the poor guy survived his coronary....

Just wanted to let everyone know that it was not as bad as I expected.
I walk a little funny but that's about it...

Not to sound disrespectful. But anytime I have ever posted (or anyone else, check some of the "off topic" posts right now) I have been SLAMMED by some of the "holier than thou" members for it not having anything to do with EBMM.

Guys ... if you've got a problem with the board or some members, ping a moderator and we'll have a look at it. No point in yelling to the heavens about it.

We were tight on the O/T threads for a while. There were a few members that got carried away and everything got really negative there for a bit, so that was our response. Things these days seem pretty cool, so it's all good, provided it doesn't get totally ridiculous.

Zomby, I wasn't sure if you were kidding about the Colonoscopy or if this was just a "how O/T can I go" thread. If you really had it ... congrats on getting over it. I had one once ... all I can say is yeesh (with the caveat, of course your health has to come first, even if it's uncomfortable).
