I've seen some EB basses in photos where the same color looks drastically different. I attribute most of that to lighting of course and aging. Question is how consistent are the basses with color from year to year. For example..I've seen some Lake Placid Blue SR basses where the blue looked very light and thought that it couldn't all be lighting but IDK...any input would be great.

Hard to generalize but I've found that many EBMM finishes are very difficult to photograph. The same bass can look totally different when the camera angle or lighting conditions change. There is certainly some variation - for example, the Neptune Blue PDNs can be light, dark or in-between. Hard to say how much is lighting, but every EBMM bass I've owned had a beautiful finish, and I've had a really hard time taking photos that offer an accurate representation of those colors.

I have had 2 candy apple red Bongo's and the color on both was identical. Same with other Music Man basses and guitars I have owned, when I have compared them to other Music Man basses and guitars of the same color, everything looked identical as well.
