Hey, you want to get your mouth off that bald guy, dude. I KNOW him.

Keep that big shiny head down, Jon. How long is the deployment?

We're not sure, Jack. 30-35 days, almost every country in the AOR. Fair amount of time in the place that ends in "q", some 'stan', even some Africa...should be a whirlwind, exhausting awesome trip. My goal, as the bandleader, is bringing a big fat 'thank you' and little piece of home to every troop I can.

For some strange reason, I still have a place in my heart for you guys wearing the funny outfits.

And you KNOW I want some photos of you and that MusicMan in those fascinatingly lovely places, right?

We still love you too, Sailor! (sounds dirty when I say it, doesn't it?;) ) And you shall have those pics, you shall!

I have to admit, I always feel a little funny when someone thanks me for my service. I'm not doing the hard stuff - I'm just a bass player for cryin' out loud. I don't deserve that kind of thanks...

Very cool, John! Good luck to you and the band.

And, I think it's interesting to note that it's an all Musicman string section....

It is service Jon. Everyone wearing the uniform should be thanked. Stay safe and play well. Thanks for what you guys are doing.

Per Diem?!?! What are you in, the Navy? :D Ain't no per diem in a combat zone! (well, at least, not enough to make up for what you spend...what's it now? Three bucks a day?)

Stay safe! Give our boys and girls a good show - they deserve it! And thanks for what you're doing, too!
