Just had to post this to get some feedback from expert EBMM people on here. There is an EVH EBMM in purple quilt, item no. 280186304050, listed on eBay with bidding at $3200. Am I missing something or what? I have this same guitar in mint condition and if it worth that much then I am considering listing it. In the last few months these guitars were only bringing around the low 2k at most. What makes this guitar so special.

Hard to tell. I have an expensive EVH and I know for a fact that the market fluctuates quite a bit on these. When I first joined the forums, someone offered me $4500 for it. I tried to sell it this year and had trouble getting $3500 for it, so I didn't sell.

It's just the way it is. $3200 for a purple that isn't faded is pretty good. It's not that rare of a color, so if you can get that, take it.

my 2 cents,

Interesting.......his description says he bought the guitar new but in his questions/answers at the bottom of the auction he says "THIS GUITAR WAS PURCHASED FROM ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS GUITARIST IN THE WORLD,(CURRENTLY ON TOUR)"

yeah....noticed that "bought it from famous guitarist etc". leads me to think he is claiming Ed sold him the guitar. if true would like to know how to get one from him myself.

Hmm. . . seems with info that important, it would have been in the original description. I would take that part with a grain of salt. The guitar is beautiful though.

What proof does the seller provide showing he bought the guitar from EVH himself?
