Compensated nuts?

Here's the nut on my Buttercream Pet. You can plainly see the difference. Since this is a collector guitar, I haven't really played it, so I couldn't tell how the nut effects the intonation.

Has Petrucci had the nut fitted to his Mystic Dream 6 string for a few months? I remember seeing a pic of him with the cream coloured nut around the time he got his 'interesting' new haircut.

will the compensated nuts be available to original owners of pre comp nut guitars made? LIke, will i be able to buy one to retrofit it onto my petrucci that i bought just last year. I was just about to post a topic on this after seeing some bongo's at GC yesterday wondering if i could get one for my petrucci...question to be answered hopefully. maybe i missed the answer already if was posted.
