All of my Axis necks feel different. I could identify all of them in a blind test.

like my two EVHs. both built on x-masday back in 1991, both are played hard since this day, and both still feel a little different. it´s nearly the same with my JPs. i like the LE07 a bit more than my ´05MD, i hope that the DDII will be more like the LE07, the neck is a bit smoother.

hey hbucker, clever idea with the switch!

Thanks! I also like it because I can glance down and see which pickup is selected. When it switched vertically it was much harder to tell at a glance.

I still love the guitar. It's simply awesome...

I just purchased a DiMarzio Axis Eddie Van Halen neck pickup on Ebay and was wondering what I got? I can't find any information about this pickup anywhere! It is NEW and was made in the early 90's from what the seller has stated. He claims it is F spaced also. Does anyone know what kind of a pickup it is. He claims it is a model #-N2 and is a zebra type. Here is the information for it. Can anyone help me to figure it out? DIMARZIO AXIS EDDIE VANHALEN HUMBUCKING PICKUP

MODEL #-N2

COLOR: ZEBRA

PATENT # 5,399,802

THIS IS A NECK POSITION HUMBUCKING PICKUP THAT WAS DESIGNED BY DIMARZIO FOR THE EDWARD VANHALEN GUITAR, BUILT BY ERNIE BALL/MUSICMAN IN THE EARLY 1990'S

THESE RARE PICKUPS CAN SOMETIMES BE FOUND ON THE INTERNET RETAILING FOR $120.00.

The real EVH/Axis neck pickups are marked N2, though they are not F-spaced.
