Hello and welcome

Well, here we are on an EBMM forum, thus we are more or less addicted to EBMM.
It will be very hard for us to advise you to play an Ibanez ...
Ibanez are good but EBMM are great !

Hi Kowshik and welcome to the forum!

Around here we think SBMM are great. But we're maybe a little biased. :) But there are a lot of great reviews out there and they are generally regarded as fantastic instruments in their price range. The quality and playability isn't the question, it's whether or not you like it! You have to try them to find out!

I don't have either of the JPs but I have a SBMM AX40. I can honestly say that it is the best sub $1000 guitar I've ever played. The quality, sound, and feel are found on guitars costing much more.

Now someone else with more experience can tell you the difference between the two models.

Personally I despise the Ibanez wizard necks. But it's worth checking out, after all when it comes to guitar it's all about personal preference!

I was an Ibanez player for 10+ years, and tried out most of their "top" guitars (Jems, Satrianis, PGMs, Prestiges, etc), and while they´re indeed great instruments, with super fast necks, I would say that they´re meant to play a more "metal" kind of music.

Now, forward to NAMM 2011, and the visit to the EBMM booth...God, I was sold.

Now I own 2, have just bought my third, and sold a Morse in between.

What can I say...these guitars are amazing, they suit you for every genre you want to play, they feel superb and the consistency between them is out of this world.

So, that being said, I would recommend to try a Sterling, But what I would recommend even more is to try them before you buy them, cause they´re meant to be your instrument, so there´s no one better than you to decide which one you like the most.

Good luck!

I went to my local GC a little over a year ago to purchase my first "expensive" axe. I was looking for a PRS, or Ibanez JS. When I walked in, there was a pair of 25th's hanging on the main display. I was in awe over how beautiful they were. I played a PRS custom, Ibanez js1000, then went to try the 25th. I couldn't put it down. I remembered when the EVH came out in the early 90's and I couldn't afford one. Well, here I am, 6 Balls later and I still can't get enough. Trust me, always go for a Ball.
