Interesting breakthrough today. Back in '07, BP asked for our thoughts on Musician's Friend and EBMM. One of my comments was that I didn't think that MF gave EBMM the catalog space they deserved - leading me to believe that MF wasn't serious about selling them.

Here's the thread if you are interested --> http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-guitars/22437-musicians-friend.html

Imagine my surprise when I pulled the June '09 catalog out of my mailbox today and saw a 25th ON THE FRONT COVER! In addition, there's a hands on review of the 25th, and ads for a BFR Luke, a JP, a 25th bass, and an Axis. While this is still after the Fender and Gibson sections, it's at least close to the front of the catalog - before Ibanez and the other brands.

Congrats to EBMM for finally convincing MF that you are a real guitar company! ;)

I've been trying to get those catalogs since I moved to this house 2 years ago. Not one has showed up :[

Hmmm....Does anyone know if scanning and posting the pages would qualify as copyright infringement? It is a catalog afterall, and it would probably qualify as free advertising....

Just got my copy today, I was shocked. My first thought was that maybe we'd see a little more EBMM love in future MoFo catalogs, but then you look at page 2 - the list of major brands they sell - and no mention of EBMM. Well, a cover shot and 3/4 page write up is better than nothing.

Yeah....I had the same thoughts. One issue is not an indicator of a trend - but as you say, it's definitely an improvement...

If it were me, I'd scan the pages in question, post them, and claim fair use.
