I doubt that.. he's a Dean player for a long time now. It would be great if he came to MusicMan, but if he's got a good relationship and he likes their stuff, there's little reason for him to change.

Michael is a very nice guy and super player. Were going to try and get him to record a original tune expressly for EB radio.(more on that later) He expressed his desire to become "official" and has been a loyal EB player for over 20 years. We are glad to have him on the team.

His gauge of choice Super Slinky 9-42.

I personally love his playing and down-to-earth attitude. People always say he lacks feeling, but the guy touches me. Welcome to the family.

Now the question is...who's wigs does he endorse? I assume that's his own signature model wig, I don't think anyone else would design that mop.

That's hilarious. I have his old Hot Licks video which rates a 99 on the "unintentionally funny" scale. the only thing I found "unintentionally" funnier was the Corey Haim True Hollywood Story. both provide me with endless laughs.

I must admit, they guy can play and he seems nice enough. (I'm talking about Michael. I know nothing of Corey).

Actually stumbled into a M A B clinic about two weeks ago. I stopped ito my local music shop to check in on something and one of the owners says "Sorry Mike, he's not going to make it today, his plane was hit by lightning, he'll be here tomorrow" After looking appropriately confused, I realized the store was completely refigured and there was a small platform in the corner set up with a pair of Marshall half-stacks. Then I saw the promotional posters and they explained that there was a clinic scheduled for that afternoon, but I had had no idea. Turns out he was grounded in Chicago at the airport for 17 hours. So I figured I'd stop by the next day and check it out.

He made it on Sunday and put on a good show. Played a few songs from his latest album which included tribute tunes toward Randy Rhoads, Richie Blackmore and Zeppelin. Incredible speed - he plays the Rhodes two handed tapping riffs as sweep picked arpeggios. He did his over/under hand switching fretboard work while explaining how and why he did it - his main point was because he can and its part of the show. He mentioned I wouldn't do it in the studio, because its not necessary, but on stage I'm here to entertain as well. He's also a natural lefty. Took some questions, told some stories. I only had time to stay for the first hour so I didn't see him play the double neck, but it was there. I also didn't get to stay for the meet/greet after but as he was setting up, discussing his technique or answering questions he came across as a very nice guy. This was backed up later by the guys in the store. Played up the Rock 'n Roll schtick a bit - but hey he's a performer.

I have the Hot Licks vid around the house somewhere. It's pretty cheesy but the dude has killer chops.

I think he wears a wig too. Frank Gambale used to wear one.
