Do you ever think life is very short?

So 2 years ago my marriage broke, lost everything....including my children, got separated, met someone else that didn't last sadly burst 2 discs in my back and was not in a good place mentally.... In recent months have started to repair my marriage and am slowly getting back to a place where I am at peace,

Life is very short.

Why am I telling you all this? -well I presume some of you wondered where I went and why I stopped posting! and just so you know the full story as to why I bought this!

So... I have been a Les Paul guy since I could afford one, always loved the shape of a LP and all my guitar heros played them. when my back broke I couldn't take the weight of a LP and as stunning as my 25th is, it's not the same style. The Armada is so much more than a LP I've admired the Armada since I first saw it, I saw the comments when it came out "pizza guitar" and all that, I remember what BP said, never comment until you play it. Because of everything happening in my world and because I stay in the middle of nowhere I couldn't try one. I turned the big 40 this year, which takes me to life being too short, so I've waited, and I've just broken my own rule about spending so much on a guitar, but do you know what...? this is a phenomenal guitar. It has restored my faith in being a player and has reminded me that Ernie Ball Music Man are always pushing the envelope in design and creating tools for artists. I am far from a great player, but it makes me smile when I play this, and right now that's everything I need.

The fact it's mint-green is a big bonus, am I right in saying these were made for the Dallas Guitar show? -

Anyway I'll stop blabbering on now, here's some pics... if you haven't tried one, do it now, it will make it into your collection I promise you.

Thank your for reading.... (Therapy cheques are in the post :) ) -

Smelly....back for good. ... (no back joke intended)

Welcome back, sorry to hear about the rough past few years. The Armada is a great guitar and the mint green ones are sick! Enjoy that thing!

Life can be a bich....no doubt about it. I learned a long time ago that each and every day is precious, and they are limited.
Try to never take that for granted.
Happy to hear you are healing in more ways than one!
Enjoy that new gift and try to find a little bit of happiness and love every day.

Man hug, brother - although I've never man-hugged a guy named "Smelly Bum" :)

I'm a few years ahead of you - OK, more than a decade, you don't have to rub it in - and I've got more than my fair share of ex-wives, so I know the only way to get through life with a shred of sanity is to hang on to a guitar.

Glad you found a good one!

Sweet guitar - I think busted marriages and chronic injury are good for business at EBMM. I've bought 3 since my marriage went down and had a couple of hospital stays. Although the final solicitors bill killed any chance of a PDN
Good to hear your getting life back together and good to hear the marriage is coming back together.
Never let go of that axe tho

Welcome back, Mr. Bum!

Sorry to hear of your challenges but also glad that things appear to moving in the right direction.

Congrats on your Armada! I am also an Armada owner and it is a phenomenal guitar. IMHO, it is the LP I've always wanted tone-wise, but with all the great and innovative features that EBMM has to offer.
