international sports coverage is horrible here in the States. I saw Oz vs NZ, and the first sport I think of is rugby.

So that would be us getting thrashed at another sport that we invented ?

I'm not a sports fan myself but I get the impression that being a supporter of an English national team, (largely irrespective of the sport) is all about Expectation Management
