Have a Coral Red StingRay HH, maybe a 2016? Before the roasted necks, anyway. I've gotten it to where it plays and sounds great & I'm playing it quite a bit. The only thing I dislike about it is the pick guard, plain white, kind of cheap-looking and boring. Has anybody swapped in a pearl guard? Care to share a picture? Other thoughts? Thanks!

This place sells Stringray 2016 pick guards.

This place does 2018 and up. But the images might give you a good idea.

There are some on Reverb.

Seconded with Glenn for WD -- a girlfriend had a custom painted one commissioned for me from WD and I love it. (Enough that I almost want to trade the Ray for another color to better compliment it lol). They do fine work. I also had a custom pink mirror made from a tracing for an HSS Cutlass I had for a minute.

I thought about it! My father and I refinished a few guitars back in the day and I've thought about getting back into it. Its a PITA for all the space and prep work needed though. Maybe I can out-source it just for this one!

Out source it man. Jason has used Marty Bell a few times and loved the end product.

Marty is semi-retired now. He is slowly losing his sight and is only taking on a small number of jobs.

Ah bummer that’s a shame to hear, looks like he does great stuff. I’ll try reaching out but won’t get upset if he can’t do it. Thanks for the recommendation Glen and Kev.
