We had our annual xmas party last night, and a local rock cover band "Pete & the Shortcummings" played. The bassist & one of the guitarists each had a MusicMan in their stables. The bass player had what appeared to be a blue dawn SR5, and since I'm not overly familiar with the guitar models I'm not sure what the guitarist was slinging. Though if I had to guess, I would say either an EVH or an Axis.
Neither started off the set with their MMs, and since I had to leave after 5 songs, I didn't see them actually play 'em, but it was cool to see them. I've seen a couple bands with MM basses, but that was the first guitar I've seen "in the wild".
We've played that party the past two years, but since we haven't played in a couple of months, we weren't "in shape" for this gig. Our next official gig is the PF Chang's Rock N Roll Arizona Marathon.
