I can tell you that in italy, a music man cost 1800 euro's(1 euro=1dollar).
There is so difference of price!
I have a sterlig's bass and I have bought that for 2400 euro!

my sterling was only $1696.25(can. and tax included) but i got a realy good deal. if i bough it at some other place it would have cost me 1900.00 with out tax and that crap so i think i got a realy good deal.
