well this just happend while i was trying to pratice today. if you touch the strings on my bass with your fingers I.E. playing your cool. but if you touch the strings with the inside of your wrist. its stings like crazy!. only when the bass is pluged in to my amp. on or off. unplug the thing. your fine,no more sting.

Whatever it is... you'd best figure it out before getting on stage. You could be putting on more of a show than the crowd bargained for! Better have that amp checked...

Did you try it with another amp? The reason for no finger tip sizzle could be the thicker callous on the finger...the wrist has pretty tender skin.

Hmm. I'd try it on another amp. Keep in mind that you sure don't want 110 volts zapping you. 50 volts at 0.2 amps is the a guideline for what can cause a fatal shock, and that thing is strapped to your chect.
