Woohoo! A Bongo's coming to live with my Sterling and SR5! A well-traveled single H 5er... something that I've been seeking for a long time. I'm easily confused by shiny objects and multiple pickups.

The waiting is agony...

Well Congrats Ken. I know youve been GASing for a Single H for a while, so Im glad youve snagged this one. Its a great bass, and no pic ever taken does justice to how sweet the Desert Gold/Tort combo is.

The low B on that bass is thunderous. Not sure if thats a word, but it is now. :D

Be sure to let us know what you think when you get it.

Definitely not as....easygoing as the SR5.

More likely to hit on underage girls, I'd say.

Glad you like it. I copied Jon on my last email to you about the headstock.

BP was right on target with his comment about the single hum Bongo being a heck of a Rock and Roll bass! It's classic rock heaven though my WT-550 and pair of Bag 15s.

Desert gold with tort --- might be my favorite bongo scheme.
verrryyyy nice.

So... more bottom than SR5? As much growl?

First impressions are yes and yes, but be warned - I suck at expressing tone in words.
