I have 1 question for EBMM in fact and one for you guys

1/ Why ASS Piezo preamp is different from other Piezo Preamp Like the Luke or AL or Silo. On those guitars it looks like the preamp is embedded in the little black box with the 2 outputs and access to the EQ. While on the ASS the preamp is installed in the guitar.

Any reason for that ? DIfferent models ?

Reason why I'm asking is that I love the Piezo on my ASS and I am now thinking about the next guitar propably an AL MM90 Mapple Piezo and I want to make sure I will get the same quality of acoustic sound. Moreover I'm curious by nature and like to understand things :D

2/ As you know, I have my new ASS Piezo, I'm thinking about upgrading my PBB ASS with Seymour DUncan Phat Cat (MM90 type of pickup).

Did someone already swap the stock pickup of the ASS with those or any Seymour Duncan? I would like to know if the Seymour will fit without any mod on the guitar (except soldering of course and changing the selector with a 3 way one)

In Advance, thanks for your help and answers :)

Can't help too much but I once owned a Luke piezo and an ASS piezo at the same time. The acoustic tones were different for sure but both were fantastic...I seem to remember preferring the Lukes piezo tone in a head to head comparison...

Thanks steve:)

I'd really like to get the answer on the other questions as well

And I will add a new one :D

3/ Why the AL and Silo have no switch to select ever mag or Piezo Pickup ? While AXIS SS, Luke, and JP got one

who said I'm stubborn or a pain in a** ? :D

But I'm pretty sure someone got the answer to those questions

Hey.

i owned an ASS MM90 and swapped out the bridge P90 for a Dimarzio DLX P90 and had to do a small amount of routing in the pup cavity to get it to fit. for the screws mainly. an easy alteration. the pup was easy to solder in as well ie, no alterations required to the PCB.

The piezo tone on the ASS was astounding. as it is on all EBMM piezo equiped guitars.
