I want to put a nickel covered pickup in my silo special. I found one that I want to get but not sure it'll fit. I'm thinking it should

I think the covered pickups might be a little too tight. Some routing of the pickguard may be in order. I only say this because I saw an Albert HH that someone swapped uncovered pickups into, and the pickguard holes seemed a little too big.

Worst case, you can enlarge the opening with a file. Just go slow. I've done this on a bunch of guitars to fit oversized pickups, and it's usually a quick job.

Thanks guys

I have a Nickel covered Suhr SSH+ coming. Just didnt wanna modify the pickguard in case I sell it someday. I think it's gonna look and sound killer though :-)
