Played a wine festival in Grapevine this afternoon and were even on TV (standards are slipping around here).

But........

......look what I found.

Here's the standards-free cameraman from Channel 8:

A little later, we wandered down the street and found one of the other stages, where I found this:

Too bad you didn't have a GrapeRay to play, Jack! :D

Nice pics & nice video. Too bad they only showed Cowpilot for about 10 seconds. :(

We need to e-mail channel 8 and request more Cowpilot!

Looks like I missed out on this one. Oh well, I had to work. I'm going to try to go out Saturday and see LeFreak though. Really good local disco cover band. They'll be followed by The Bodeans.

Whoa, blast from the past, the Bodeans! I liked them a long time ago.

Also, the Tubes (with Fee Waybill) are going to be there Saturday night.

Mexican food was after the gig, lol. ;)

The stage was being directly blasted by the afternoon sun, hence the rather goofy headband and the sweat pouring into my eyes. By the end of the 90 minute set I didn't care if I looked like a Richard Simmons reject.

Next time I'll spare the crowd by wearing long jeans. :D

It was quite fun, and I was pleasantly surprised by the Cowpilot boys showing up for the last 2 songs of our set, we played at roughly the same time. Wish I could have seen some of their show.

The Bongo had brand new Super Slinkys on it and the sound man must have loved it because it was out there in the mix. I thought Jack told me he heard it from 2 blocks away. I love that bass.

I was way down the street when I said to Brian, "That's definitely a Bongo."

That sound guy you had was really on the ball.
