Hi All,

I recently discovered three long yet thin cracks in the finish of my Stingray 5-string. I think this might have been caused by the heat changes in my office in the second story of the house - until we put in AC last year the upstairs would get extremely hot and muggy every summer.

I've included some pictures, below. I was wondering what method you folks would recommend for fixing these? There are so many online, but I couldn't find one for my Stingray.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Mike

If that’s heat damage ouch !!!!!
Rule of thumb. If you are too hot/cold so are your basses.
Regarding fixing it, I doubt you will ever get a seamless repair apart from a full refinish.
Touching it up, building it up with model paint then polishing it flat would be worth a try. Failing that it’s all mojo !
