Stu, can I see any larger pics of your Sterling?! Thats almost the same as the one I have coming.

The Sterling gets forgotten sometimes, but if you want an ultra slick fast instrument, with a bit more edge than a Ray (obviously it CAN be tamed) the Sterling is a winner :)

Plus, that neck sculpt....mmm!

thats the one bass in the ebmm line up that i have not gotten to play. makes perfect sense that sterlings namesake would be a hotrod.

Well....you mentioned getting "hip to midrange" and, imo, the Sterling has a beautifully tuned midrange character. The electronics are simple and easy to dial in but very powerful as well. It really thumps. It can be aggressive and sweet at the same time. Very cool. And, like all the other EBMM basses, it is unique and has its own thing going on.

I can't wait for the GC to come to the Sterling line - at least I hope it does. A Sterling 5 HH with GC would be stellar!!

@Movielife....here's a photo for you :)

Stu42 that is stunning!!! I think I've made a good choice with Tobacco Burst...classic colour.

I've not seen one Sterling 5 in the UK yet so it's going to be exciting.
