I know that 99% of the people here will not like this and its ok. It was a quick idea and I thought hmm this might actually work. Would be a bit different thats for sure, though I don't think it would sell from a marketing point of view maybe a few special one offs.

Anyways, I love single humbucker guitars and am a big fan of EVH....in the 80's :p Superstrats, single humbucker, 1 volume and a Floyd....perfect. My Axis is actually the first more than 1 pickup guitar I've had for a while so I wanted to see how it would look like with just 1 bridge pickup. I fired up Photoshop and this is the end result.
Kind looks weird at first doesn't it, cause we're so used to seeing that guitar with 2 pickups. The pickup selector switch of course would no longer be there or could be replaced with a smaller coil tap switch.
