I don't know if it is common in the UK. I've never seen it before.

cause i thought i just read a thread here yesterday
about a dealer in UK ... that we need to ask him what he has in stock and not what we want, so that the store wont tear basses aparts and rebuild to our specs

just wondering
cause that is so ... :(

Johan,

That was my thread yesterday and it was not a dealer, it was actually the sole distributor for the UK who sells on to the dealers. In this case it was because I was left handed and therefore he had less basses in stock than right handed and therefore he was prepared to swap the necks and bodies to get what I wanted - no thanks!

To date, it appears that neither the 2003 nor 2004 SUB bridges are stamped with "Music Man".

My guess is that that they will get stamped eventually, which will help with year ID down the track.

The headstock logos have already changed!!! The 2004s are different to the 2003s.

looks like they might have had a problem with the neck

or is there a neck there that had a problem

prolly thought they could get more money from selling parts individual than just selling a neckless bass
