Don't the Chinese use one and the same word for crisis and opportunity?

The crisis part is that today I had to cancell my order on my Trans Teal SR5 HH :( The relationship between me and the dealer just went too sour. Long story, in short: crappy customer service, no feedback after an obvious mistake on their part and they tried to raise the price considerably after we had agreed on one. I'm just glad I didn't put down a deposit yet...

The opportunity part? I came on this board to write away my frustrations of having to cancell my order. But before I get to post, I read BP's thread about the torture train... :p

So here's the good part... I've got a choice again now. I can re-order my bass someplace else... or I could just be a bit more patient and go for the 20th SR5 :D I can't do both, as I planning on buying a house next year... Wadda you lot think I should do?

I agree - wait for the 20th - it will be something really special - not to poo-poo the rest of the instruments, but the guys really go all out for the anniv. models.

As to your first question:

I believe the Chinese symbol for good luck is the combination of the symbols that mean crisis and opportunity.

There was a recent price increase that might of bumped the price of the original bass up 10%. DD's and 2006 L.E.s were excluded from the increase. The dealer has to pay more for the bass so they are going to pass the increase along to you the customer. I hope that wasn't the problem but that is something to be aware of.
