Its no secret that I'm a huge MxPx fan, and so when I had the chance to buy back my old Sparkle Ray, that just happened to be a clone of 1 of Mike Herrera's, I jumped on it. After rediscovering the joy of this Stingray, I dubbed it "Cristalena," after the MxPx song of the same name. I just recently received a black pickguard courtesy of Fuzzy Dynamite (you r0x3eZ my s0xerXZ!), and here are the results of the new face lift:

Here is where I tried "provoking" the sparkle:

Half the time she don't know where she's at

Well, I have a couple in various states from totaly screwed, to the one I use as a light switch cover, but mine were made by mistake...The pickguards used were lefty pickguards....They make great switch covers!

If only you were as influential as we'd like to believe: sparkles would never have been discontinued, but rather flourishing and enjoying a comparable amount of stage time to "boring black," "spiritless sunburst," or "well-worn white."
