Not sure if this is allowed as it is not EB content but I am curious as to what everyone prefers acoustically and what it is about the particular model you like.

So I start here. I play a Taylor 214CE. Taylor because of its fantastic playability and quality. Plus Taylors have their own bright voicing, I love the sound which is the same direction from the cheaper to the expensive models.

I play a Yamaha silent steel string for gigs, BRILLIANT no feed back what ever you do on stage. And plays so well.

I have a fleet of Taylors. :) I love their necks and note accuracy up and down the fretboard. The models are all different though so keep that in mind when you pick one up. It wouldn't be fair to judge their line based on trying one particular model. Some are designed for heavy strummers and others for fingerpickers.

I've gone down the rabbit hole of building my own acoustic from a Stew Mac kit. Still working on it. Fun stuff.

Oh...as I play far more acoustic gigs I went through lots of different models, but I fell in love with Dreadnoughts. Had different Martins at first, switched to Taylor (812 ce) wich played and sounded far far better in my opinion, at the same time I got a Breedlove (US Series) wich was very nice too but...finally...at last...I found "the one"... Gibson "Sheryl Crow Signature" wich I upgraded with new Tuners (hated the vintage style tuners) and a LR Baggs Anthem pickup (way way way better then most built in pickups). But don`t get me wrong... Gibson acoustics were never my kind of anything and there are so many imperfect models out there. I don`t know how many guitars I tried and I wanted a Hummingbird really bad, but none war quite good enough.
So in my opinion..Taylor and Breedlove are an easy bet .. but I would dig my way through all those Hummingbirds again just to find my "Sheryl" again! :)

I play Ovations because they play so easy, closest to an electric that I've seen.

I play a Larrivee model L-05, that I bought used about ten years ago. The tone is warm and even on all strings and frets, and the harmonics are unbelievable. On a good day, it feels like the guitar plays itself. I feel like I really lucked out on this one.

No acoustic so far. Sometimes I wish I would have one but I´m unsure if I want to enter this world... I´m more of a rock guy and am happy with the electrics

For classical, I love my Taylor nylon string - model is NS72ce, which they don't make any more but was around $3k.

For steel string, nothing beats my Alvarez Yairi in Koa.. ;)

Rumor has it that Santa is bringing me a Breedlove for Christmas. Too bad EBMM doesn't make acoustics. I'd probably own a few........

I've had my fair share of acoustic...

I've used over the years the following
Vintage Yamahas (probably my favorite was from the mid 70s)
Fenders
Dean Exotic series
Taylors, 214, 314, 514
Parkwood - great guitar got it for $5
but my favorite Acoustic is my wives Carvin Cobalt - the thing has tone for days and i think it was purchased in 1990-91 and is aging very we'll...
