Check out this bass. It's a 4EQ!? That's why he wants 2 grand for a used bass that lists for about $1700 brand new. AND it was custom hand made just for him on San Luis! Aren't they all? And $80 shipping on top of that with $20 insurance? This guy is too much.

Haha. I'd say he's just selling a new bass at retail price.

By the way, where's the link?

Yeah it looks a bit sus to me. It looks exactly the same to my bass(except mine is fretted) and i payed less then half he is asking. What proof is their that says it is 4eq?i might of missed something but i cant see anything visually that will say that is a 4 eq bass....

No, it's a Stingray. Period. Possibly a nice one, but this guy is clearly smoking the stuff out of the "salt pack" that came with his "handmade" bass.

Ah, eBay. And I used to think parking lots were Idiot Magnets.

You see this kind of crap a lot. "Custom Stingray" or "Custom Sterling" and so on. Some guy orders a bass with a certain pickguard and has to wait on it because it's backordered, and suddenly he has a bass that was custom-built for him by a special team of elves in San Luis Obispo.

Listen to Jon, boys, listen to Jon - and spread the word. The number of truly "custom" or "one of a kind" Musicman basses I have seen over the years could be counted on one hand. And most of those were customized OUTSIDE the walls of the EB compound.

Besides, who needs 'custom' when the production basses are so good? I ask you.

What BS. I find it funny that he talked it up as a "custom made" bass... Who would want a bass that was custom made for someone else? I would understand if it were a famous bass player, maybe.

Wow. Must be something to be able to get THE only custom MM bass. Looks shexy... Plus it's got a tremolo!!!

Mmm... just think of the trippy, evil, disgusting sounds you can get with a tremolo on a MM bass.... haha!

I know. Beaver Felton told me - or maybe it was Gard. But luckily for me, I really honestly SUCK at fretless, so the jealousy pangs were small and momentary.
