do Musicman hold in stock some kind of combinations ?
i mean like, if i want a blue dawn JP6 with piezo and matching headstock, is there a chance it would be available without making a special order ?

All Music Man instruments are made to order...so we don't keep any stock whatsoever.

you also have the choice of adding a piezo system to your JP

no you didn't miss anything, definitely always appreciate help in pointing MM-consumers in the right direction. But Ang3lus lives in Israel so I just want to make sure everybody is on the same page.

Cheers

fret size?

I used to have a Carvin DC127 with jumbo frets. When I changed presure on a string, the pitch would change. Has anyone noticed that with the jp neck? Or was I doing something wrong?

That's really more a technique issue (pressing too hard) than a function of the fret size. Believe me - I'm all too familiar with all kinds of bad technique! Try not pressing so hard - a light touch is very helpful.

With a EBMM the action is so low you don't have to press hard at all ;)

oh i wish or wish oh wish they would allow us to have jumbo frets on the axis....
why won't they let us do that? I'd be willing to pay for it....and no, I don't want to pay someone outside the factory to do a complete refret on a brand new axis.

PLEASE, customer service people?

Jeffrey...It not a matter of us letting you have something...it is a matter of a company with a design philosophy that already offers over 100,000 combinations and it still isnt enough......

THey are what they are with a whole lot of latitude!

I'm having my Luke refretted with a taller wire, that was my only issue, their is a lot of design already in the guitar and we should be thankful that such guitars are on the market.. and what works for me might not work for you... their isn't a guitar on the planet that is all things to all people... if you need it modified then do it..:)

At first I wasn't liking my Luke at all I didn't like the frets nor the neck profile. Now I just can't put it down. Its a amazing guitar and it just took me some time to get use to.
