Can you order a EBMM guitar, within the specs and colors that EBMM already has in their line-up? I am mostly talking color and fret-board. For example, really the best place to get an EBMM is MF, however, they are severly limited to options, even though they have a consistent stock of different EBMM guitars.

Like, if I wanted to buy an Axis SS hard-tail w/ a rosewood fretboard in maybe some kind of blue? I'm not talking custom options, just the already specified options that should be available but seem to be in short supply. Thanks.

Ruf,

I'm pretty sure you can order anything that the website posts!!

In addition, you may want to check with other dealers too, like Perfect Guitar, DuBaldo's music, etc. . ., I think they may be able to "tangle" with Musician's Friend.

Be worth checkin' out!!

I notice you are from Japan, if you contact your local dealer or even the distributor (MusicMan) they can help you order that combination. Some of the larger companies like the one you refer to are limited with stock choices to keep the smaller dealers competitive. They are also limited from selling outside the US. Ironically Japan is one of the largest (if not the largest) exporter of Music Man guitars so you are in good company...

Colin is totally right. Contact Kanda Shokai. I was just over in Japan and they are absolutely the largest dealer of EBMM by far. Not sure if they have English support though. Are there large guitar shops in Naha area?

Kanda Shokai, is that a name, or a name of an actual shop? Not sure about large guitar shops in NAHA, I will have to check it out sometime,.....don't get up there much. English support is rough sometimes, but if they have it on the wall, that's too easy. Not too impressed w/ the local guitar shop,.......but,.....I am sure mainland has a LOT of shops, however, that is not the part of Japan I am in. Thanks.

OK, found the Kanda Shokai site,........too bad I'm not paying $3,500.00 for an Axiz SS, and that's not even a BFR Axis from what I can gather with the Japanese Kanji; it's a regular Axis SS. Their price for a BFR Luke is $5,700.00 And now with our US recession, what used to be 116 yen to 1 US dollar is not 94-96 Yen to 1 US dollar,...so,....that Axis would cost me closer to $3,700.00 right now. I am going to have to purchase from a US dealer.

That's one thing I can say about Japan ( Well, Okinawa anyway ), it that musical instruments and gear is usually if not always higher than US prices. Your average BOSS pedal, for example, might be 50-60 bucks in the states. Here it is 80 - 100 bucks.
