Off topic, but I'd love to see a high quality catalog with amazing photos like the BFR thread. Something I could leave around the breakroom so people can just drool over them and get an idea of what is really available.

It's pretty sad when you read through the regular GC catalogs and honestly don't want to buy any guitars in it, though they do throw in an EBMM once in a while.

Actually, there IS something custom I'd like EBMM to do if possible. It's not just for me, but for many other guitarists... A volume pedal that not only acts as a volume pedal, but also a distortion pedal. When the switch is OFF, it's a conventional volume pedal.

Step ON the switch, and you can control the gain using the pedal itself. Full on gives full high-gain distortion. Full off gives low gain crunch, and possibly even clean. Something like that effect that Steve Vai does at the end of Tender Surrender...

That's gotta have some cool uses...

Please???

Although I completely understand BP's reasoning against a custom shop... but IF I could have just 1 wish, it would be for and Axis 7. I play in a trio with a chapman stick player (well actually Warr now) and use JP7's exclusively for their extended range and recently picked up an Axis...awesome guitar!! Now I want it in a 7 string version.

Body: Luke BFR, but routed for HH instead of HSS
Neck: Silhouette Special, but with 12" radius and Luke fretwire, rosewood fingerboard
Pickups: from the 20th Silhouette
Color: Emerald Green (opaque, no burst) with gold hardware...or Blue Dawn with silver/chrome
Controls: 500kohm volume and tone - .022µF tone capacitor
Switching: 3-way pickup selector (ala Axis or 20th Anniversary Silhouette)

Mmmmmmmmmmm...

If we're going to talk about guitars we won't be seeing let´s be more radical.....

How about a Silhouette Special 12 String with a 6+6 headstock...not the long one on the double neck

And an Axiss SS with a resonator on the front please.....oh & both left handed.

Call me when they're ready for delivery!!

I'd say my dream guitar would be a left handed JP6, but I just have to wait a few months and EBMM has actually made my dreams come true. How's that?

I am too indecisive as to what I would want now a days. I will just go through the 100,000 or so options and pick and choose. That is good for me.

My Silo Spec and Luke approach the perfect guitar but they're not quite perfect yet.......for me.

1) I have large hands and would like a nice fat neck.
2) The ideal pickups for me would be tapped humbuckers in a Strat arrangement, that could be selected in any combination of single-coils or humbuckers.
3) I like a master volume and master tone control along with individual tone controls for each pickup.
4) 24 frets.
5) Slightly wider neck. I sometimes have problems with the high E-string slipping off the neck.
6) I love the Steve Morse SM-Y2D clear pickguard. That would be an awesome option on every guitar.
7) More space between the locking tuners. They are too close together for my big clumsy fingers. lol
8) Whammy bars: I don't know how I ever survived for so long without one. It would be nice if every guitar had options for either a Vintage or Floyd.
9) Solid, flame, or quilt-top options for all finishes.

I want a Silhouette Special with a headstock and body that looks like this:
blueburst.jpg

and the following:
-no pickguard
-rear-routed electronics
-HH pickups w/ one three-way switch and a push-pull 500K volume knob to split the pickups.
-no Silent Circuit
-standard maple neck w/ rosewood board
-Jumbo stainless steel frets.

Sort of like the twisted, supersexy love child of a Silo and a Petrucci with simpler electronics.

Musicman Customshop ?!?!

...but...

Wait, there sort of IS one.
You just have to check what discontinued color did sell worst, then find the model it sold even worse on, and who knows - maybe one day you'll find yourself in the same lucky situation as me:

...one-offs don't come easy, but "may the force be with you" - you won't need a custom shop when tweaking them a little. Just a good tech like Mick :D

...now lemme get back to play with my Balls...
