Guys, I have to share this...
Last week, Jade, my envy green bongo, started sounding strange. Turns out the neck pick up hardly made a sound, and the sound it did produce was close to a 70's P with the tone rolled off, only far weaker.
So, I emailed Derek, asking what to do, got the specs on the pick ups so I was able to rule them out as tha bad guys, then Derek simply goes "we'll ship you a new preamp"!
Three days later a huge box shows up, half way around the world, with a complete preamp assembly ready to just drop into my fav bass. And now, once again and thanks to the extreme customer service of Ernie Ball, Jade is fully porerational!
And bear in mind that we're talking about a 4 year old bass that I bought second hand!

Derek and all the others at Ernie Ball, I love you guys! You make the experience of owning one of your great instruments go faaaar beyond the fact that they are the best instruments in the world!

Hey, great story!

I own a large amount of stuff, from a wide variety of manufacturers and have had dealings with several customer service departments. Of all the ones I thought were pretty good, EBMM is in a league of its own. I’ll never take for granted what EBMM does, they have always far exceeded my expectations. EBMM customer service is the absolute best, period!

and we all know that with any company, the tone/vibe/everything is set by the Grand Pubah of said company and flows down throughout its' employees...

and yes, Derek kicks serious butt too! :D

If I hadn't hung around these boards a bit I would actually have thought that was a made-up story. I know otherwise though.

Brilliant service.

Most stuff I buy if it goes wrong I don't even bother contacting the company, I have had such bad experiences in the past that it just isn't worth my time. I'd rather repair it at my own expense. EBMM is a revelation to me, in that respect. I'm really happy for you.

Have you ever dealt with Fender? Horrible customer service, IMO.
Kinda makes me feel better selling my 2 Fenders to get a MusicMan.

He said '' Its all good, though ''

BP likes us, for the most part, I think.....

just don't PM him, and keep buying basses, and '' It's all good ''
